Human Resource Associate
St. John’s – NL, Mississauga – ON, Halifax – NSWe are looking for a team member who is passionate about full circle recruitment and onboarding, and ensuring Human Resources practices are equitable, inclusive, and embrace diversity. In consultation with the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Associate will execute recruitment strategies and ensure that employment practices attract and retain a workforces aligned with the strategic goals of Key Assets Canada.About Us

We are a growing company seeking a talented Human Resources Associate to join our team.
Human Resources Associate
Full-Time Permanent PositionReporting to the Manager of Human Resources for Key Assets Canada, the Human Resources Associate:
- Leads the front line (non-management) employee recruitment and hiring process in collaboration with HR Manager and other hiring managers
- Ensures that hiring practices and file maintenance are in line with Employment legislation within each jurisdiction
- Responding to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
- Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, scheduling, IT etc.)
- Assists the HR Manager with the review and revision of the Human Resources Policy and Procedure Manual
- Assists with Occupational Health and Safety and acts as a liaison between employees in all matters pertaining to workplace injuries and accidents and workers’ compensation benefits.
- Assists with training needs for front-line employees. This may include working with Scheduling and Management to determine what training is needed, employees that require training, etc.
- Completes reports as needed and as requested from the HR Manager
- Keeps up to date on HR legislative changes within each jurisdiction
- Ensures that the HR database has up to date employee information
- Coordinates the onboarding and orientation process for new front line (non-management) employees
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
- Assumes other duties as assigned by the HR Manager
To be successful in this position, candidates will be required to have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Business with a focus/concentration in Human Resources Management
- Minimum of 3 years related work experience in a Human Resources capacity
- Must have a sound knowledge of various employment laws and practices in Key Assets Canadian jurisdictions (Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, and Nova Scotia)
- HR Designation would be considered an asset
- Experience in administration of benefits and other HR programs
- Clear Certificate of Conduct
Key Assets Offers:
- Competitive salary, commensurate with education and experience.
- Group Health Benefits enrollment (medical, dental, etc.)
- Competitive RRSP contribution matching up to 5% of employee contribution.
- Annual leave entitlement of 20 days per year (4 weeks).
- Sick leave entitlement of 7 days per year.
- Salary range for this position is $50,500-$62,932
