Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Quality Assurance, Practice and Evaluation is a senior leadership position responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the quality assurance and compliance frameworks, practice standards, and program evaluation initiatives for Key Assets Canada. The Director will drive a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring all services aligned with provincial and federal legislation and regulations, licensing standards, and evidence-based, best practices.
As a Director of Quality Assurance, Practice and Evaluation, you will:
· Ensure quality assurance and compliance by leading, developing, and implementing agency-wide quality frameworks and audit processes to ensure compliance with provincial foster care legislation, regulations and organizational practice standards.
· Practice leadership by overseeing the development and maintenance of practice and operational policy manuals, as well as evidence-based, best-practice models and standards for employees.
· Engage in program evaluation and data collection by leading research, data collection, and evaluation of program outcomes to identify trends and service gaps, providing actionable reports to the CEO and senior management.
· Ensure risk management and safeguarding practices by overseeing risk management audits, annual reviews, as well as other reports and data compilation as directed by the CEO to ensure the highest quality and safety standards.
· Formulate training and capacity building byanalyzing performance gaps and providing training, coaching, and mentoring to employees on quality standards, best practice and trauma-informed care.
· Engage in stakeholder engagement opportunities and act as the liaison with provincial ministries and licensing bodies, community partners, and those others identified as significant to the vision, mission and values of the organization as directed by the CEO.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in social work (MSW), Psychology, Business, or a related social science discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 – 7 years of experience in a related sector, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or management role, preferably in child, youth and family services and foster care. Experience in leading audit processes, root cause analysis, utilizing quality management platforms and tools, and continuous improvement methodologies, knowledge in audit management system standards (e.g., ISO-based frameworks),and other quality assurance management practices, as well as extensive knowledge of provincial and federal legislation governing child, youth and family services with an understanding of foster care licensing standards, regulations and legislation.
- Skills: Strong analytical, research, and data interpretation skills, including experience with electronic case management systems.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead change, manage complex initiatives, and foster an inclusive, learning-focused team culture.

- Clear Certificate of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Child Protection Clearance Check granting clearance.
- Valid Drivers License and clear Drivers Abstract.
- Standard First Aid/CPR Certification.
- Valid proof of ability to work in Canada.
